What is Globin?
Globinis a superfamily of proteins found in the blood. They are popular as heme-containing globular proteins. There are four major groups of globulin proteins. They are Alpha 1 globulins, Alpha 2 globulins, Beta globulins and Gamma globulins. Immunoglobulins belong to Gamma globulins and are a critical part of the immune system which protects the body from the pathogens.
