CCDA

This is a certification by CISCO in the field of design. Known as Cisco Certified Design Associate, it provides a person with skills required to design a Cisco converged network. Any candidate who has passed CCDA has the skills to design routed and switched network infrastructures for businesses. He can also design LAN, WAN and broadband access for organizations with ease. The curriculum of CCDA is industry ready and includes designing basic campus, data center, and security and wireless networks. There is one prerequisite for CCDA and that is having CCNA level knowledge so as to prepare for the exam. CCDA certifications are valid for three years. After this period, you need to clear CCNA to retain the certificate.

CCDP

This is a certification from CISCO in the field of network design concepts and principles. Any student having cleared CCDP has got the skills required for discussing, designing and creating advanced addressing and routing along with other elements such as security, network management and data center. This is called Cisco Certified Design Professional, and anyone clearing this exam becomes a prized catch in the industry as he becomes well versed in handling designing of CISCO networks. The curriculum of CCDP includes building of multilayer switched networks and scalable internetworks along with designing network service architecture.

CCDE

This is another good certification provided by CISCO and is known as Cisco Certified Design Expert. CCDE is a person who can validate advanced network infrastructure design principles and fundamentals for large networks. Any professional having CCDE has the ability to design, integrate and optimize operations, security and ongoing support focused at the infrastructure level for networks of corporations. There are no prerequisites for CCDE.
