Teenagers vs Adults

Teenagers and Adults are two stages of growth of a human being. Both these stages show some differences between them. Teenagers and adults show differences in their characteristics too.

A teenager is a person who is between the age of 13 and 18 years. On the other hand any person who is above 18 years of age is considered as an adult. There is a lot of difference between the teenager and the adult way of thinking. Teenager thinking is characterized by fantasies. On the other hand adult thinking is characterized by practical experiences.

A teenager is more prone to the pulls of infatuation. An adult on the other hand is capable of checking the pulls of infatuation. This is one of the main differences between a teenager and an adult.

A teenager’s mind can be easily polluted by the sensual appeal. On the other hand an adult deliberates to a certain extent and does not fall an easy prey to sensuality. A teenager cannot be easily gripped by perversion. On the other hand an adult can be very easily gripped by perversion.

Teenagers cannot be easily controlled by the elders in the family. This is due to the reason that their mind can become passionate quite easily. On the other hand the adults can control themselves if they wish to. In short it can be said that it is in their hands whether to control their minds or go in the direction their mind goes.

Teenagers are easily carried away by fashion and fashionable things like footwear, clothes, cars and the like. Adults on the other hand are not easily carried away by fashion and fashionable things. Teenagers cannot decipher quite easily between the good and the bad. On the other hand the adults can decipher with some effort what is good and what is bad.

Well, the modern concept of a teenager is between the ages of 13-19 since these ages end with the root word “teen.” But truthfully speaking, adolescence defines pubescence and the period between childhood and adulthood. The teenage years can start under or over the age of 13 once the child hits puberty.
