Jim Beam Whiskey vs Jack Daniels Whiskey

吉姆梁威士忌和Jack Daniels Whiskey can be found in your favorite grocery store’s wine and spirits department; that is if you are in a state where supermarkets are allowed to sell them. They both belong to the whiskey family; made by fermenting grains and storing the drink in oak barrels.

Jim Beam Whiskey

Jim Beam is one of the most popular brand of bourbon whiskey today. Its distillery actually started as a family business and has been run for seven generations. Like all other brands given the tag as America’s Native spirit, Jim Beam has to follow manufacturing rules and regulations set by the US government including aging it for at least 2 years.

Jack Daniels Whiskey

Jack Daniels on the other hand is a brand of whiskey, and is leaning towards the sour mash side. This has been known to have smoother taste. Its smooth taste is believed to be because of their filtering process. Jack Daniels origin can be traced back to Tennessee, USA. Some people say that Jack Daniels belongs to the pricey liquors; it costs nearly double compared to Jim Bean’s.

Difference between Jim Beam and Jack Daniels Whiskey

Even if it is always about individual preferences, we can see how these two differ from each other. First on the list; their origins. Jim Beam is from Kentucky while Jack Daniels is from Tennessee. Jim Beam is more alcoholic while Jack Daniels tastes smoother. Although both are popular whiskeys, Jim Beam is by far cheaper compared to Jack Daniels. However, in terms of aging, Jim Beam is aged longer than Jack Daniels; Jim Beam is kept in oak barrels for a minimum of four years, doubling the government requirement of two.

Flavor-wise, it should be one’s preference, people do not share the same choice all the time. Price-wise, Jack Daniels is more expensive compared to Jim Beam. Age-wise, Jim Beam is usually stored and aged longer than Jack Daniels.
