Chrome vs Chromium
谷歌Chromeis the third most widely used web browser in the world. At the moment, around ten-percent of browser users in the world use Google Chrome. Google Chrome 11 is the latest release of Google Chrome. It was released in April 28, 2011. Google has released a large portion of its code as a separate open source project called Chromium. Chromium project is from where the Google Chrome draws its source code. In essence, Google Chrome is the rebranded version of Chromium.
What is Chrome?

Google Chrome provides high application performance and JavaScript processing speed. Google Chrome was the first to implement the OminiBox, which is a single input field that works as the address bar as well as search bar (though this feature was first introduced by Mozilla for their browser Firefox). Due to its comparatively (very) short release cycle of 6 weeks, Google Chrome 11 was released within two months after the release date of Google Chrome 10. One negative criticism that is associated by the users is its comparatively high emphasis on usage tracking functionality. In addition to its high security, stability and speed. Google Chrome 11 introduced several amazing new features, some of which are in fact introduced for the first time ever in to browsers. For example, a HTML speech translator that can convert your speech in to 50 other languages, which uses the power of HTML5, was introduced. GPU-accelerated 3D CSS support, which makes it possible for Google Chrome to support websites with 3D effects using CSS, is also included.
What is Chromium?
Chromium is a fully free and open source web browser developed by Google. In fact, Chromium is the code base from which Google Chrome is developed. Although Chromium looks and is very similar to Google Chrome, Google Chrome has more functionality such as auto-updating, usage tracking and built-in PDF viewer. Chromium does not carry the Google branding as well. Chromium uses WebKit layout engine. Chromium is written in C++ and Assembly. In terms of HTML audio, Chromium supports Vorbis, Theora and WebM codecs. Furthermore, it supports all the extensions that can be used with Google Chrome.
What is the difference between Google Chrome and Chromium?

Google Chrome provides all the functionality provided by Chromium, but Google Chrome has many features that Chromium does not have. Therefore, Chromium typically downloads the PDF files and displays them using the default system PDF application. Unlike Chromium, Google Chrome supports AAC and MP3 codecs for the HTML audio tags. Finally, Chromium is not considered stable.
