It also reduces the risk of gastrointestinal system damage compared to the oral route and enhances the likelihood of consistent patient compliance and usage. However, there are certain adverse effects in transdermal drug delivery, like skin reactions (pruritis, burns, and redness of the surrounding area) andallergic reactions.
