Erectile dysfunction is a huge problem for men. Although it can occur naturally as one grows old, it can still be a source of humiliation for the male population. This, along with a couple of other reasons, brought the hype revolving the use of medication to deal with this condition. Viagra was first introduced to the world in 1998 by Pfizer. In 2003, Viagra’s greatest competition was approved by the FDA under the name Cialis.

To help individuals who are considering the use of these drugs, it is best to identify the difference between Cialis and Viagra first and foremost. More popularly known and referred to as thelittle blue pill,Viagra is also sold under the name Revatio.Aside from working on anerectile dysfunction, it can also help with a condition calledpulmonary arterial hypertension. The drug works by inhibiting the enzyme that is responsible for regulating the blood flow in the penis.

Tadalafilis the name of the inhibitor contained in the pill known all over the world asCialis. It is used to deal with erectile dysfunction in men but is also marketed asAdcircafor the cure of pulmonary arterial hypertension. It was initially developed by ICOS but was redeveloped and marketed by Lilly ICOS, LLC after Eli Lilly and Company bought ICOS. Its action is the same as that of Viagra as it also inhibits PDE5, the enzyme that regulates blood flow in the male’s sex organ.

Conclusion:

Considering the difference between Cialis and Viagra, it is now up to the individual to make decision on which pill to take when having an erectile dysfunction. Despite their differences in certain aspects such as the length of time the pill is useful, both Viagra, the little blue pill, and Cialis, the weekender, have been proven to be effective when it comes to the dysfunction men are having problems with especially as they age. At the present, Viagra still remains on top of the list as many continue to patronize it and claim that it works better and is stronger. However, Cialis is putting up a serious fight and is starting to win in some countries such as France.
