Amazing Spiderman vs Ultimate Spiderman

Amazing Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman are two different Spiderman series that are in circulation. Basically, the Ultimate Marvels universe is a reinvention, or reboot, of the original Marvels universe. Although there are no major changes in the storyline, there are some things that they have changed significantly.

Amazing Spiderman

The Amazing Spiderman is a series of comics that featured the very first teenage superhero that didn’t have a role as a sidekick. The series ran from 1963 towards the early 2000s. The series, as well as the beloved character, was first created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The series was well received by the readers of Marvel Comics and Spiderman eventually became one of the most well-liked comic book heroes in history.

Ultimate Spiderman

The Ultimate Spiderman is, as stated earlier, a reinvention of Spiderman’s story. This is a fairly new publication as it only started in 2000. One of the many deviations of this story from the Amazing Spiderman series is the origin of Spiderman’s powers, which was originally a radioactive spider. It was changed to a genetically modified spider. The reason for this retelling is so that there will be more readers.

Difference between Amazing Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman

There are not many differences between Ultimate Spiderman and Amazing Spiderman. As the Ultimate Spiderman version was made so that the younger generation can easily relate to Peter Parker more, it featured a more recent timeframe as well as new villains and allies. The Amazing Spiderman has run for the past 40 years, while the Ultimate Spiderman is just one fourth of that. Also, the Ultimate Spiderman is the basis of the movies about Spiderman that has been made recently. Both the versions however tells the same story of Peter Parker, it’s just that there are some things that needed to be modified.
